Mr. Alfred Wong is the president of Chaico Development (HK) Ltd., an investment arm of the Taiwan based Chailease Group with businesses extending from financial leasing, to hotels, real estate, manufacturing, medical equipments, trading, etc. Mr. Wong has over 20 years of experience in M&A and private equity (“PE”), having started his finance career as an investment officer of Emerging Markets Partnership (“EMP”). EMP is an adviser to two Asian infrastructure funds sponsored by AIG totaling US$2.76 billion. Later on, Mr. Wong joined and eventually became a partner at AIF Capital Ltd., a Hong Kong based PE firm with over US$1.7 billion of investor capital committed. Post AIF, Mr. Wong served as an adviser to various world class companies and PE firms on private equity, infrastructure investments, and M&As before establishing CL Capital Mgt. Co. Ltd., a private equity vehicle of the Chailease Group. Mr. Wong has served as a board director to numerous listed and private companies including the Nasdaq listed Gigamedia, an online game company. He continuous to serve on the board of Philippines Grain International Corp., Chailease Holding, TagIt Solutions, and others. Mr. Wong received a MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University and has a BA in Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
Ms. Wong has more than 20 years of experience in direct investment, mergers and
acquisitions, and corporate finance. In her previous positions, Ms. Wong led the
development of various businesses and the acquisitions of operational assets that
were successfully listed on Hong Kong, United Kingdom and Toronto stock exchanges.
Ms. Wong was the Director of Group Business Development at Melco International
Development Limited from 2006-2017, during which she spearheaded the Group’s
international business expansion. Before joining Melco, Ms. Wong was the Senior
Business Development Manager at Hutchison Whampoa (China) Limited for almost
ten years where she was a key member of their healthcare business development
team. Prior to Hutchison, she worked for INVESCO Asia Limited and Arthur Andersen
Ms. Wong graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, majoring in Accountancy
and obtained her MBA from Murdoch University in Australia.
